This is one of the first NIN videos I ever saw. I remember watching this and being sort of afraid...but in a good way. I watched it again for shits and giggles today. I can't believe this video is already 15 years old. Man do I feel old now. Anyways, watch this, reminisce and be in awe of the awesomeness that is NIN. Also, I'm sad to admit this, but when I watched this video just now, I couldn't stop looking at Trent Reznor's junk. Is it just me, or are those pants a bit snug in the crotchal area? God, I'm such a creep. Just watch the video.
So this afternoon I was sitting around discussing music videos and how much they suck balls nowadays and how they used to be pretty kick ass not that long ago. It really is sad that Much Music and MTV don't actually show videos anymore. Just vapid trash like the Hills and Bromance. Side note: whoever coined the term "Bromance" seriously needs to be shot. For reals. Anyways, I'm getting away from my point. Videos used to be cool. I remember waiting on pins and needles for new videos from certain artists because I KNEW they'd be awesome. Then we started talking about 80's videos and which ones stood out and how some of the bigger budget videos were like little mini-movies and had actual story lines such as that shitty Meatloaf video (actually, there's a couple shitty Meatloaf videos, but you know the one to which I refer), Thriller of course was EPIC, and then there's Hello by Lionel Richie. As you can see from watching it, its an epic piece of art. The blind chick and that bust of Lionel that looks almost nothing like him are just priceless. This might just be one of the best worst videos ever. Although I guess for the time it was made, it was pretty cool. Anyways, thoughts? should I post more of some awesome 80's videos?
