So in honor of the fact that it is 4 more days until my trip to Las Vegas, I thought I'd post some random "Fun Facts" about Las Vegas as found on the official Las Vegas Tourism website.
1. When Paul Anka first played Vegas, he was too young to be in the Casino.
2. In Nevada, it is mandatory that video slot machines pay a minimun 75% on average.
3. Vegas Vic, the enourmous neon cowboy that towers over Fremont Street, is the worlds largest mechanical neon sign.
4. 17 of the 20 biggest hotels in the U.S. are in Las Vegas.
5. Howard Hughes stayed at the Desert Inn for so long that he was asked to leave. He bought the hotel.
So there you have it. 5 completely useless facts about Las Vegas that you didn't know 2 minutes ago.
