Another Historic First....
I guess it wasn't a day of epic proportions or anything, but hey...I finally caught up with the rest of society. Let me start from the beginning......
See, a nice but lazy co-worker was let go yesterday and as sort of a celebration, another co-worker and I ordered pizza at lunch and had a little party with cupcakes and drinks. I supplied the Cupcakes, and she supplied the drink...which turned out to be Red Bull. I have never in my life even sipped a Red Bull before today. At first I was slightly afeared of what this stuff would do to me. I read on the can that pregnant and breast feeding women should not drink it, that you cannot exceed more than 2 cans in a day and you know the standard do not operate heavy machinery, may cause temporary blindness and what have you.....its like this is one step up from Hooch. When I enquired as to its taste, my friend replied "Like Mountain Dew and Cream Soda". Hmmmmm....how bad could it be....I waited and waited and finally it was lunch....the pizza was there, I cracked it open and prepared myself for the flavor explosion that was about to ensue......and I waited some more. It didn't happen....maybe a flavour spark....but definately not an explosion. It did taste similar to Mountain Dew (which I am convinced is made with crack to keep you drinking it) but with the taste of those Rocket Candies that you get at Halloween. So Mountain Dew/Rocket Candy/Tarte/Sweet. I was told that I would give you a huge burst of energy.....
I waited.....and I waited and I waited some more......nothing. I do think I have a taste for it now though...but it definately didn't give me wings. But I am gonna say Cheers to Red Bull...and Jeers to Rush hour traffic.

Sondra...I love you...more than moutain dew...more than beer even! Reading your Red Bull story...I was reminded of the time I drank a micky of Glayva (some irish liquor) and puked all over the beach...our stories are so similar. Are we siblings?
